Denver Downs Farm
Denver Downs Farm is a local favorite when it comes to pumpkin patches for a number of reasons. The Anderson, SC, pumpkin patch is full of pumpkins of various sizes, and there are some with unusual colors as well. Along with pumpkins, the farm has squash and gourds, so you can even handle your decorating needs when you go here.
Denver Downs Farm offers a lot of additional activities as well. For example, you can enjoy farm football, corn hole, the cow train, and the corn maze when you visit. Plus, there are hayrides, so it truly checks all the boxes.
If you want to increase the fun, attend the farm’s Fall Festival. The festival runs through Nov. 14, and the hours are:
- 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Wednesdays through Thursdays
- 10:00 a.m. to 1000 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays
- 1: 00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sundays
The festival costs $19 plus tax for everyone aged three and older and is always a blast. There’ll be pumpkins, the corn maze, music, and quite a bit more.
Little Cane Creek Farm
Little Cane Creek Farm in West Union, SC, is another top choice. The farm is open from Oct. 2-Nov. 7 and has everything you need for some Halloween fun, including pumpkins of all sizes. You can pick one yourself from the pumpkin patch, or you can buy one of the pre-selected pumpkins. Also, the farm has a children’s play area, hayrides, a massive 5-acre corn maze, and a sunflower patch. Plus, it has concessions and a picnic area so that you can make a day of it. If you want the perfect pumpkin and then some, this farm is ideal.

Strawberry Hill USA/Cooley Farms
Strawberry Hill USA/Cooley Farms is located in Chesnee, SC, and well worth the drive. The pumpkin patch hayride is the best way to experience the farm. It runs through Oct. 31 and includes tons of activities. You can pet baby calves, feed cows, meet the pigs, take on a maze, and much more. In addition, the farm has tire swings, a massive slide, and other exciting activities. You’ll have ample time to experience everything, and then you’ll leave with a pumpkin the size of a pie. Now, that’ll be fun to carve up for Halloween.
